Overview.

Welcome to little forest, an open, safe community platform for free thought that allows one to anonymously share big or small concerns, engage with other forest dwellers, & most importantly heal through words of advice along with food or music recommendations.

My Role.

This was a personally-led project where I was responsible throughout the whole process from the ideation to the execution of the final prototype. I focused on all the aspects such as the user research, wireframes, prototypes, and overall visual system for the app.

Mapping the Experience.

The task analysis & site map allowed me to think about the entire user journey for the app.

User Testing.

For my user testing, I asked two participants to complete two tasks using the paper wireframes. Both participants were timed and asked follow-up questions after the conclusion of the test in terms of what they appreciated and any suggestions they had to improve the user experience.

  • Task 1:

    1. Open App → Sign Up → Write a Post → Upload your Post → Return to Feed → Open your Profile → Check History

  • Task 2:

    1. Open App → Login → Explore one of the Forests → Scroll through & Select a Post → Click the Sympathy Button → Select one of the comments to the Post

User Feedback.

“It would help to have labels in the navigation bar below the icons.”

“What if there is a separate forest group with all  of my trees = “my posts” instead of having to go  from Profile to History?”
